The city of Plummer was founded in 1904 when the Soo Line Railroad came through the area. Plummer is located in Northwest Minnesota in Red Lake County and is only fifteen minutes away from employment, shopping and medical services in Thief River Falls and Red Lake Falls. Plummer is also forty-five minutes away from Crookston and over an hour away from Bemidji and Grand Forks, ND.

Our city is well maintained and has many recreational and leisure time advantages. We have three beautiful parks, a high quality Rifle Range, Snowmobile Club, Legion Club, Lions and Lions II Clubs, Jim's Corner Bar, Li'l Joe's Cafe, an excellent Community Center and the Tri-River Pioneer Museum. We also have an outstanding volunteer Fire Department, an award winning elementary school, grocery store, bank and post office.

The city has free lots for new housing, several rental properties, houses for sale and a trailer court. There is great community spirit and pride in keeping our city a welcoming place to live!
